India reports 33,750 fresh COVID-19 cases, 123 deaths; Omicron tally at 1700

New Delhi: India has registered 33,750 fresh COVID-19 cases, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) reported on Monday.

India’s COVID Active caseload currently stands at 1,45,582

The deadly contagious virus claimed 123 more lives in the last 24 hours, the ministry stated.

The Union health ministry n its 8 am bulletin informed that the country registered 10,846 recoveries in the last 24 hours, taking the total recoveries to 3,42,95,407. The country’s recovery rate currently stands at 98.20 per cent.

The MoHFW stated that 145.68 crore COVID vaccine doses have been administered so far under the nationwide vaccination drive across the country.

“With the administration of 23,30,706 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 145.68 cr (1,45,68,89,306) as per provisional reports till 7 am today,” the ministry stated in its release.

The Centre informed that the daily positivity rate stands at 3.84 per cent, while the weekly positivity rate was recorded at 1.68 per cent.
