Khammam: The district TRS leaders hit out at the BJP government at the Centre for the exorbitant increase in fertilizer prices.
Speaking to the media here on Thursday, ZP Chairman L Kamal Raju and the party senior leader Gundala Krishna complained that the Centre was making the life of the farmers miserable with its anti-farmer policies.
The decision to increase the prices of fertilizers would lead to a crisis in the agriculture sector, the backbone of the country. The Modi government which tried to ruin the farming community with the black Farm Laws was again making similar moves, they alleged. The Central government promised to double the farmers’ income by 2022. But their income remained the same and the fertiliser prices doubled. It indicates the Centre’s apathy towards the farmers in the country, alleged Kamal Raju.

Increasing fertilizer prices to an all time high should be opposed by all political parties. The TRS would fight against the Centre till it rolls back the price hike in the fertiliser prices, the leaders said. DCCB Chairman K Nagabhushanam, SUDA Chairman B Vijay Kumar were present.
