Hyderabad: The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) will be hosting the 21st edition of its annual flagship event — World Sustainable Development Summit (WSDS) virtually from February 16 to 18 focusing on the umbrella theme, ‘Towards a Resilient Planet: Ensuring a Sustainable and Equitable Future’.
This year’s theme is keeping in line with the present state of planetary health, and humanitarian crises, which calls for revisiting questions related to global action and equity. Several key discussions on climate change, sustainable consumption and production, energy and resource security, resilience, and global commons will be held during the summit.
The key speakers at the summit include Dr Irfaan Ali, President of the Republic of Guyana, Amina J. Mohammed, Deputy Secretary-General, United Nations, Steven Guilbeault, Minister, Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, Canada, Dr Palanivel Thiaga Rajan, Minister for Finance and Human Resources Management, Tamil Nadu, and Alok Sharma, COP26 President and Minister of State at the Cabinet Office, United Kingdom.
