Remember what kinds of games were released in 2006? TESO: Oblivion, Hitman: Blood Money, Rainbow Six Vegas. Remember those days? Console gaming was especially popular at the time. Of course, everything went to shit. The landed party quickly realized that the planet is suffering from a very brutal kind of storm that literally destroys everything in its wake. However, due to some idiot, the landing procedure was initiated despite the explorers’ warnings not to do so.These Outriders carry the entire expedition on their shoulders, and this was their reward. Anyway, when everyone landed, people found themselves in a situation even worse than on Earth. There were even fewer resources and the storm kept killing and destroying those who tried to survive it. The main hero was one of those who landed on the planet first. 30 years later, they wake up from cryo-sleep to find themselves amidst a brutal war for survival. The main character gets hit by the storm, but as all main characters do, instead of dying they get superpowers. Which ones? You decide when you pick the class!

Just Like Last Time, or Even Worse

The combination of recognizable core gameplay plus fun classes and a bad-ass main character that a player gets to create makes for a damn solid game. Outriders kind of went under the radar not long after the release, because unlike what many suggested, the game was more focused on the story element rather than the online element. Yes, there’s co-op and Outriders crossplay that works with all platforms, but there wasn’t enough to do post-game credits.

However, very recently, the developers announced a brand-new Outriders DLC that will continue the story and offer players a lot of new content. Without going into too many details, which there aren’t many actually, the upcoming Outriders update is going to be huge.

Actually, the entire thing can be divided into two parts. The one called “Worldslayer” is the big expansion with new stories, etc. The New Horizon is the update that is going to focus on improving existing gameplay systems, namely the Outriders endgame 2.0. The developers heard their fans and they are making some necessary changes to expeditions, loot, and farming. Let’s talk about that last one, the farming.
