Resolutions for 2022

Hamburg (dpa) – More time for family and friends and less stress – these are the most popular New Year’s resolutions according to a representative survey commissioned by DAK-Gesundheit.

Reducing stress and spending more time with family and friends are the resolutions of 64 per cent of those surveyed. Family and friends are particularly popular among younger people aged 14 to 29 (81 per cent). 60 percent of the respondents with resolutions want to behave in a more environmentally or climate-friendly way. Doing more sports is a goal for 59 percent, and 53 percent want to have more time for themselves.

In the ranking of good intentions for 2022, “eat healthier” (50 percent), “lose weight” (34) and “use less mobile phones, computers and the internet” (30) follow. Being more frugal (29), watching less TV (20), drinking less alcohol (16) and giving up smoking (10) are goals that fewer people set themselves, according to the survey.
