Ayodhya, Azamgarh, Bareilly and Aligarh Assembly Election live 2022 updates

Photo : PTILucknow: The counting of votes in 403 assembly constituencies, including Ayodhya, Azamgarh, Bareilly and Aligarh in Uttar Pradesh is currently underway. The main contest in these constituencies is between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Samajwadi Party. The election results will be declared by the evening.The voting in Ayodhya assembly constituency took place on February 27 in the fifth phase of the Uttar Pradesh assembly polls. It falls in the Faizabad Lok Sabha constituency. The BJP has fielded sitting MLA Ved Prakash, while the Samajwadi Parry gave a ticket to Tej Narayan. After the Supreme Court’s verdict in 2019 on the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid case, the constituency is witnessing the first polls. The main competition in this constituency is between BJP’s Akhilesh Mishra and Samajwadi Party candidate Durga Prasad Yadav. The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) fielded Sushil Kumar Singh from Azamgarh. As per the early trends, Yadav is leading in this constituency.The voting in the Bareilly assembly seat was held in the second phase on February 14. Dr. Arun Kumar contested the polls on a BJP ticket, while the Samajwadi Party fielded Rajesh Kumar Agarwal, while the BSP gave a ticket to Brahama Nand Sharma. The BJP fielded Mukta Raja from this constituency. Raja faced a challenge from Samajwadi Party’s Zafar Alam and BSP’s Razia Khan. As per the latest trends, Raja is leading with over 16,000 votes.
