Bandi Sanjay takes exception to alleged police high-handedness

Hyderabad: Telangana State BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Saturday demanded that the police department identify the persons who allegedly attacked party activists in Jangaon district and take necessary action against them.
Speaking to media persons after consoling the injured activists at Osmania General Hospital here, Sanjay took exception to the alleged high-handedness of the local police in the district towards the activists.
“Our activists are not scared of anyone. In spite of resorting to repressive measures, our activists are continuing with their protest against the State government,” he said.

Referring to the Chief Minister’s remarks at the public meeting in Jangaon on Centre’s proposed move to enforce mandatory installation of electrical meters to pump sets, Sanjay clarified that the Central government did not come up with any such move.
He said the Chief Minister was attempting to raise the Telangana sentiment issue once against to divert the attention of people.
