Nalgonda: District Collector Prashant Jeevan Patil on Tuesday asked people to cooperate with the officials for taking up road widening works in Nalgonda town, as part of town development and beatification project.
Speaking at a meeting held with property owners, who would losing lands in road widening, he said road widening and footpath works, drainage system and electrical towers would be taken up in Nalgonda. He reminded that the government sanctioned funds for town development and people should cooperate in execution of the works. He assured that sufficient time would be given to the owners to shift their shops to other places when their existing shops were demolished for road widening. He said that permissions would be given to the building owners for construction of additional floors, if some of their building was demolished for roads widening. Transferable Development Rights (TDR) would be issued to the building owners, if they want to construct in other places after losing their building in road widening.
He said it was not possible to change in the master plan for one or two persons. Nalgonda MLA Kancherla Bhupal Reddy said that the Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao decided to develop facilities in the town keeping in mind the requirements in the next 40 years. State of art Kala Bharathi auditorium and tank bund would be developed for Nalgonda. Additional District Collector rahul Sharma, Nalgonda Municipal Chairman M saidi Reddy, municipal commissioner Ramana Chary were also attended the meeting.
