New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday came down heavily on Congress calling the grand old party leader of the ‘tukde tukde gang’ and said it’s their policy to divide and rule. He made the remarks in Lok Sabha while responding to the debate on the Motion of Thanks to President Ram Nath Kovind’s address during the ongoing Budget Session of Parliament.

“Congress attempted to hurt Tamil sentiments, it wants to divide and rule the country…I want to salute Tamil Nadu citizens who lined the streets for hours to pay tribute to CDS Gen Bipin Rawat…Divide and rule is in their DNA,” the Prime Minister said.

PM Modi was referring to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi as the former chief of the grand old party had earlier in Parliament accused the ruling BJP of diving the country. Gandhi had also remarked that the saffron party can never rule over the people of Tamil Nadu.
