Impact Foundation celebrates Silver Jubilee

Hyderabad: Impact Foundation celebrated its Silver Jubilee at a function held in FTCCI, Red Hills, on Monday. A voluntary foundation, which started in 1996, Impact has been providing free personality development classes and imparting employable skills to rural, unemployed youth in both the Telugu States.
As part of the celebration, the foundation honoured five social workers from the Telugu-speaking States, who work in various fields. Many dignitaries, including politicians Jaya Prakash Narayana and VV Lakshminarayana, novelist Yandamuri Veerendranath, psychologist Dr BV Pattabhiram and educator Gottipati Satyavani attended the event.
In the last 25 years, the foundation has helped over one lakh plus kids, teens and youth from the rural areas of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, many of whom are now well-settled in India and abroad. The voluntary group has also produced several trainers. Dr Gampa Nageshwar Rao, founder of Impact, shared that the organisation was started with a month-long training programme, at Adam School, Chikkadpally, where about 40 people underwent the training.
