Man claiming to have chip inside his body detained while trying to enter NSA Ajit Doval’s house; mentally disturbed, say cops

New Delhi: The Delhi Police detained a man who was attempting to enter National Security Advisor Ajit Doval’s residence here on Wednesday. Delhi Police sources said security personnel posted at the NSA’s residence stopped and detained the person who was unknown to Ajith Doval. 

An investigation has been launched into the incident and the man is being interrogated by the Special Cell of the Delhi Police. 

Here’s what Delhi Police sources said, as per news agency ANI: “An unknown person tried to enter NSA Ajit Doval’s residence. He was stopped by security forces & detained. Further investigations underway.” 

Sources later said that as per the primary investigation, the man appeared to be mentally disturbed and he was driving a rented car. He has been identified as Shantanu Reddy, a resident of Bengaluru. 

It was reported that the intruder had claimed he had a chip inserted in his body. However, the police said the claim turned out to be false.
