Chinese state media had earlier released a video that showed PLA soldiers unfurling their national flag allegedly in Galwan Valley to celebrate the ushering in of the New Year 2022. Indian Army sources had earlier debunked the claim and had stated that the spot where the Chinese flag was unfurled was not in the disputed area. Yogi Adityanath lays foundation stone of ATS centre in Deoband, says ‘aatankwadiyon ko ab thokenge’

In a major boost against anti-India elements in the country, especially in his state, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday laid the foundation stone of an Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) commando training centre in Saharanpur’s Deoband, a hub of the famous Islamic seminary known as the Darul Uloom. “On one hand there will be tablets and smartphones, while on the other there will be ATS commandos to ensure security. Delhi imposes new COVID restrictions: Weekend curfew from January 8; buses, metro to run at 100% capacity

Amid increasing cases of COVID-19 in the city, the Delhi government, on Tuesday decided to impose a weekend curfew in the national capital to curb COVID-19 cases in the national capital. Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said that the lockdown will be implemented from January 8. The decision was taken after a meeting of the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA). The Delhi High Court will give its judgement in legislator Subramanian Swamy’s plea seeking to quash the Air India disinvestment process, on January 6. The matter was listed for hearing on Tuesday before a bench consisting of Delhi HC Chief Justice DN Patel and Justice Jyoti Singh. The Rajya Sabha MP in his petition argued that the bid process for Air India disinvestment was “arbitrary, corrupt, mala fide, unconstitutional and against public interest; said it was rigged in the favour of Tata Sons”.
