Prashant Kishor calls frenzy around state results ‘clever attempt’, says ‘saheb’ knows this

Photo : PTINew Delhi: Poll strategist Prashant Kishor on Friday downplayed the frenzy around recently-held state elections calling it a “clever attempt” to gain a psychological advantage over the opposition.In a veiled dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he said that “Saheb knows this” and urged people not to fall for this narrative.Taking to his official Twitter handle, Prashant Kishor said, “Battle for India will be fought and decided in 2024 and not in any state elections.””Saheb knows this! Hence this clever attempt to create frenzy around state results to establish a decisive psychological advantage over opposition.”

This is the first time in 37 years that a party has been able to retain power in Uttar Pradesh after completing a full term. Narayan Dutt Tiwari in 1985 had secured two consecutive terms in the state.In Uttarakhand, the party secured 47 seats out of 70 seats.
