Punjab win gives AAP and our model of governance national recognition: Manish Sisodia

Photo : Times NowNew Delhi: Delhi’s Deputy Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party leader Manish Sisodia on Saturday said that AAP’s massive victory in Punjab gives national recognition to the Kejriwal model of governance.In an exclusive conversation with Times Now’s Group Editor Navika Kumar, the AAP leader said when a political party becomes a credible alternative it’s bound to emerge as a winner.”Right now, our priority is the people of Punjab. We will focus on fulfilling our promises,” he added.Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) dethroned Congress in Punjab by winning 92 seats in the 117-member Assembly. With this, the grand old party has been reduced to a mere 18 seats, while the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) managed to grab three seats, and its ally Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) won just one.Now, the Aam Aadmi Party has the highest vote share of 42.01 per cent in Punjab, followed by Congress’s 22.98 per cent, SAD’s 18.8 per cent, and BJP’s 6.60 per cent.Punjab Chief Minister-designate Bhagwant Mann on Saturday said that the swearing-in ceremony of the new government will be held on March 16 at the native village of legendary freedom fighter Bhagat Singh, Khatkar Kalan.
