Puri King Gajapati Maharaj’s daughter Debesi Devi gets married to Burdwan royal family’s Aditya Kehr

Bhubaneswar: Debesi Devi, the youngest daughter of Puri King Gajapati Maharaj Dibyasingh Deb, got married on Wednesday. Debesi married Aditya Kehr, the son of Gurugram-based Rajeev Kehr, who is also the prince of the Burdwan royal family.

In Raja Nahar, the palace of the Puri King, there was a feast; and in Bhubaneswar, another feast was held in the May Fair Hotel. Mahaprasad, the offering of Lord Jagannath, was served in Raja Nahar.

The royal wedding took place in the Bhubaneswar hotel at 11 pm. COVID-19 guidelines were followed as only a limited number of guests were invited to the function. 

Rituals like Pata Ring, Tilak, and Mangalkritya were completed at the Royal Palace in Puri.

The Royal family invited officials from Sri Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA), members of the Srimandir Managing Committee and some senior servitors to the Palace for an evening feast at 7 pm on Wednesday where they were served Mahaprasad.

Meanwhile, family members of the Royal groom arrived at the Palace on Tuesday. On the same day, they had darshan of Lord Jagannath in the Srimandir.

The Nilagiri Royal family, including Jyotsna Devi Mardaraj, also attended the marriage ceremony in Puri.
