Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu tests COVID-19 positive, goes into self isolation for week

New Delhi: Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu tested positive for COVID-19 on Sunday.

Naidu, who is presently in Hyderabad, has isolated himself. He also advised all those who came in contact with him to isolate themselves and get tested for coronavirus.

“The Vice President, Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu, who is in Hyderabad, tested COVID positive today. He has decided to remain in self-isolation for a week. He has advised all those who came in contact with him to isolate themselves and get tested,”  the Vice President Secretariat said in a tweet.

Naidu has contracted the virus for the second time.

The Vice President is unlikely to take part in Republic Day celebrations on Wednesday.
