Mamata Banerjee claims her flight came close to colliding with another plane mid-air

West Bengal CM Mamata BanerjeePhoto : ANIKolkata: West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday claimed that another aircraft had come in front of her plane and it was the pilot’s efficiency that averted a mid-air collision of two planes.She further alleged that she has received no report on the incident from the Air Traffic Controller (ATC) and the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).Talking about the incident, the West Bengal CM said, “Plane escaped collision due to pilot’s efficiency. The plane climbed down 8,000 feet when another plane came in front of my aircraft suddenly. Not received any report from ATC and DGCA so far.”

She had sought a report from the DGCA asking if approval was accorded for the route taken by her flight.The pilot managed to land it safely at Netaji Subhas Chandra International Airport.
