Lucknow: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), on Tuesday, announced its manifesto for the forthcoming Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh. Unveiling the Lok Kalyan Sankalpa Patra 2022 ahead of UP election 2022, Union Home Minister Amit Shah took a review of the promises delivered by the ‘double-engine’ BJP government in Uttar Pradesh and said that 92 percent of the 212 promises made by the Yogi Adityanath government in 2017 have been fulfilled.

Among other key promises aimed at women, youth empowerment, and social and economic development of Uttar Pradesh, the Lok Kalyan Sankalpa Patra 2022 of the BJP government has promised Rs 1 lakh fine and 10-year jail for those involved in Love Jihad.

For farmers

  • Free electricity for irrigation to farmers in next five years in its manifesto for 2022 Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls
  • Rs 5000 crore scheme for a grant to farmers for digging borewells, tube-wells, and water reservoirs
  • Rs 25000 crore for creation of cold storages, godowns, processing centers under Vallabhbhai Patel Agri Infrastructure Mission
  • MSP for potatoes, onions, and tomatoes
  • Award of solar pumps to farmers for the usage of solar energy as an alternative source
  • Development of six mega food parks

For women empowerment

  • Assistance under CM Kanya Sumangla Scheme to be increased to Rs 25,000 
  • Financial aid of Rs 1,00,000 for the marriage of daughters of poor families
  • Free LPG cylinders to beneficiaries of PM Ujjwala Yojna
  • To make meritorious girl students self-reliant, free scooters will be given to them under Rani Laxmibai Yojana
  • Create three new women battalions for women empowerment

For education and youth empowerment

  • Under Swami Vivekanand Yuva Shashaktikaran Yojana, 2 crore tablets and smartphones will be given
  • General Bipin Rawat Defence Industrial Corridor in Bundelkhand will be completed in record time
  • Creation of smart classrooms in 30,000 secondary schools
  • Provision of 10-year punishment and Rs 1 lakh fine for those indulging in ‘Love Jihad’

Health, employment, and governance

  • Creation of six Dhanvantari Mega Parks at Rs 30,000 crore
  • Six industrial parks for the MSME sector
  • Creation of Lata Mangeshkar Performing Arts Academy
