New Delhi: On the day of the beginning of Parliament’s Budget Session, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday welcomed all the MPs.

The PM noted that India has a lot of opportunities in the current world scenario. He added that the session instills confidence in the world regarding the country’s economic progress, vaccination program, and Made in India vaccines

Discussions and open-minded debates during this session can also be a powerful opportunity for global impact, said the PM adding that he hopes all MPs and political parties will have open-minded discussions with a view to taking the country quickly down the path to development.

“I hope all MPs and political parties will debate with open mind to take India forward on path of development,” said the PM.

Ahead of Assembly Elections to five states, he said that Parliament sessions and debates get affected by elections from time to time. While elections will continue, the PM underlined that the Budget Session outlines an annual plan for the entire year.

“I request all MPs, elections keep happening but Budget Session is very important, we need to make it fruitful,” said PM Modi.

He added that the more fruitful this session is, the better chance we have to take the country to economic heights throughout the rest of the year.

The Budget Session comes ahead of Assembly Elections in five states — Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Manipur, and Goa.
