Fipola Retail to ramp up hiring, add more stores in Telangana

Hyderabad: Fipola Retail India, an omni channel meat D2C (direct to consumer) startup, which operates in Telangana, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu is looking to hire over 400 employees to take the total headcount to over 1,200 in March. Of this, the company will hire 200 plus in Telangana, where it currently has an employee base of over 250.
The company will be hiring backend & frontend store operation staff including business managers, senior business managers, team leaders, delivery, housekeeping, and others. Currently there are 14 stores in Telangana and the company is adding 16 stores by next month, taking the total to 30.

Fipola recently received an investment of Rs 40 crore to launch over 40 retail outlets by March 2022. The company currently has operations across 3 key states of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Telangana and going forward, the company has plans to expand its operations across India.
Speaking about the expansion, Sushil Kanugolu, founder & CEO, Fipola Retail India said, “The meat and seafood industry has grown at a healthy rate of 400 per cent in the last two years. Based on the rapid growth in the industry, we have set a target of reaching 275 plus stores by 2023 and we are building a strong total base of 2,100 employees to help us reach there. We have a healthy revenue of Rs 110 crore and are targeting to reach a revenue of Rs 460 crore by 2023.”
He added, “Our focus is to strengthen our technology team along with our distribution channel to give our customers a seamless experience. We strongly focus on hygiene and store maintenance and that is how we have a dedicated team of employees who take care of pre-cleaning, processing, packaging and delivering goods to our customers.”
Currently, Fipola caters to more than 10 lakh customers. Apart from meat delivery, Fipola is also focusing on its other two verticals – ‘Fipola Grill House’ and ‘Fipola on Wheels’.
