New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday claimed that the Enforcement Directorate would arrest his deputy, Satyendar Jain “right before the Punjab elections”. In a defiant message that was shared on his party’s official handle, the Aam Aadmi Party leader also insisted that they hadn’t done anything wrong.

“Modi govt is planning to arrest our Minister Satyendar Jain right before Punjab elections We welcome them, they can send ED, CBI etc and arrest anyone they want, including me. We’re not afraid as we haven’t done anything wrong,” the AAP handle quoted him as saying.

Kejriwal said that it had been learnt from sources that the ED would arrest the Delhi Health and Home Minister in the coming few days (right before the Punjab polls). “They are most welcome. Previously too, the Centre had conducted raids at Satyendar Jain but got nothing,” Kejriwal said in a virtual press conference.

Issuing an “open challenge” to the Narendra Modi-led central administration, the CM said that the ruling party could send “all agencies” against him and other members of the AAP. “Not only, Satyendra Jain, but they can also send them to me, Manish Sisodia, Bhagwant Mann. We will welcome them with a smile,” he added.

“If BJP thinks that we too will be scared like Channi ji, then they are wrong. I challenge BJP to send ED as well as CBI, Income Tax to everyone, we are not afraid of anyone!” Jain added in a video shared on his own profile.
