Muslim scribe serves food to Ayyappa devotees in Mancherial

Mancherial: Upholding communal harmony which has been the hallmark of Telangana, a Muslim scribe fed devotees of Lord Ayyappa at Thallapet village in Dandepalli mandal on Wednesday night.
Mohammad Nizamuddin, who works for a vernacular news channel provided breakfast to 20 devotees from the village those who embarked on the rigorous spiritual practice for 41 days. He served various snacks to the devotees and became a role model for others in society.
“Society is facing a major threat in the form of communal clashes caused by political parties. It’s the need of the hour to show communal harmony. One can show that humanity is above all religions by involving in such practices. I felt enormously happy to feed the devotees,” Nizam told ‘Telangana Today.’

He is a role model for today’s generation. Every religion teaches its followers to show empathy towards fellow humans,” A Sattayya, one of the devotees said.
