New Delhi: A video has surfaced on social media showing a resident of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir requesting the Indian government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for assistance.

The man has been identified as Malik Wasim.

It is apparent from the video that he urged the Indian government to rescue them and pleaded for PM Modi’s help, saying that properties here belong to India, to Hindus and to Sikhs.

“Come and rescue us,” added Wasim.

Additionally, he asserted that the police have sealed his home, forcing his family and children to live on the streets.

“The police personnel have sealed our house. I deman the commissioner of Muzaffarabad to hand over the house to us. You can see my children on the street. If anything happens to me, then the commissioner and Tehsildar are responsible for it. They should unlock my home, else I will be forced to seek the Indian government’s help. I appeal to PM modi to teach them a lesson.

“I appeal to the Indian government and PM Modi to save us from these atrocities,” he further said.

On Tuesday, India at the UN said the crime syndicate responsible for the 1993 Mumbai bomb blasts enjoyed not just state protection, but five-star hospitality, in a veiled reference to the D-company boss, Dawood Ibrahim, believed to be in hiding in Pakistan.

Permanent Representative of India to the UN, Ambassador TS Tirumurti, told the International Counter Terrorism Conference 2022 organised by the Global Counter Terrorism Council that links between terrorism and transnational organised crime need to be addressed vigorously.

“We have seen the crime syndicate responsible for the 1993 Mumbai bomb blasts not just given state protection but enjoying five-star hospitality,” he said.

Apparently, Tirumurti was referring to D-Company and its head Dawood Ibrahim, who is thought to be hiding in Pakistan.

For the first time, Pakistan acknowledged Dawood Ibrahim’s presence on its soil in August 2020 after the government imposed sweeping sanctions against 88 banned terror groups and their leaders that included the name of the underworld don wanted by India.
