Kothagudem: Paloncha based Nava Bharat Ventures Limited (NBVL) has provided a reverse osmosis (RO) water plant for the use of residents at Kotha Anjanapuram village in the district.
A statement from the NBVL here on Tuesday informed that Superintendent of Police Sunil Dutt inaugurated the water plant. Speaking on the occasion he said the water plan would help the residents to overcome the problem of water borne diseases and make proper use of the facility. He lauded the vocational and skill development training being offered to unemployed youth by Nava Bharat as part of corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative. He also appreciated its activities towards women empowerment through Nava Bharat Women Empowerment Centre.
Kotha Anjanapuram sarpanch G Harini informed that the gram panchayat body approached Nava Bharat seeking to address the drinking water problem the villagers were facing and thanked the NBVL for setting up the RO water plant at the village. The NBVL Vice President Y Sreenivas Murthy revealed that the RO plant at the village was the 21st water plant they have set up in the district as part of their CSR activities. He appealed to the people to make use of the social service activities being conducted by the company.
He further informed that Nava Bharat has recently constructed wash rooms for the use of students at Zilla Parishad High School at Yanambile in the district. The facility was inaugurated by the DEO E Somashekhara Sarma. On Tuesday marking the International Women’s Day certificates were presented to women who completed tailoring, beautician, garment making and DTP courses offered by the Nava Bharat Women Empowerment Centre.
An assistant professor at Sri Ramachandra Arts and Science Degree College, J Madhavi was felicitated on the occasion. The NBVL Deputy Manager (Social Development) M Srinivas Rao and others were present.
