Provide better treatment to Covid patients: Karimnagar Collector

Karimnagar: Collector RV Karnan instructed officials to provide better treatment to Covid patients in the district headquarters hospital. Besides treating patients by conducting special outpatient services, adequate beds should also be made available in the hospital.
The Collector conducted a review meeting with health department officials to discuss the steps to be taken to check the spread of Covid at his camp office here on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, Karnan advised the officials to provide treatment to corona and normal patients separately by establishing separate wards. He directed hospital authorities to ready oxygen, ventilators, and beds.
Hyderabad Newsclick here for more Hyderabad NewsHe instructed doctors to perform deliveries to the pregnant women infected by corona. He also instructed doctors to conduct Rapid tests on the people suffering from fever and provide Covid kits if they were tested positive for the virus.
He directed the health officials to take stringent measures to check the spread of the virus. 98.7 percent of people in the district were given double dose of Covid vaccine, he informed and instructed officials to achieve 100 per cent target by Tuesday. A total of 100 teams are engaged in fever survey across the district, he informed and wanted each team to complete the target of giving a second douse of vaccine to 200 people in a day.
Karnan instructed officials to speed up the vaccination process in Manakondur, Gangadhara, Gumlapur, Ramadugu, Challur and Illandakunta areas. He advised hospital superintendent to recruit lab technicians depending on requirement and provide better treatment to patients. District Medical and Health Officer, Dr Juveria, District Hospital Superintendent Ratnamala, Resident Medical Officer Jyothi and others participated in the meeting.
