Punjab Assembly polls 2022: 13 Sikhs, 12 farmers in BJP’s first list of 34 candidates

Addressing a press conference, Tarun Chugh, BJP national general secretary said that tickets have been given to 12 candidates who belong to farmers’ families, eight tickets have been given to members of the SC community, 13 tickets to Sikhs.

Chandigarh: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), on Friday, announced the first list of 34 candidates for the Punjab Assembly elections 2022- Punjab BJP in-charge Dushyant Gautam said.

Addressing a press conference, Tarun Chugh, BJP national general secretary said that tickets have been given to 12 candidates who belong to farmers’ families, eight tickets have been given to members of the SC community, 13 tickets to Sikhs. “The list has doctors, lawyers, sportspersons, farmers, youth, women & former IAS,” he added.
