Teachers asked to focus on quality to get better NAAC grade for KU

Warangal: Quality consciousness should be the culture of universities and it should become a continuous process to achieve better grading in the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) accreditation, said Kakatiya University (KU), Warangal, Vice-Chancellor Prof Thatikonda Ramesh. The KU is making all its efforts to achieve the best grading despite shortage of faculty and senior teachers, he said.
Releasing an international conference’s brochure at Committee Hall of Administrative Building, KU, on the “Higher Education in India – Challenges, Opportunities and Solutions” at KU campus here on Wednesday, Prof Ramesh said that Department of Sociology and Social Work in collaboration with the PV Narasimha Rao Centre for Knowledge is going to organise this two- day event. The deliberations will be on the sub-themes which include changing dimensions of education, management and governance of higher education, views of P.V. Naasimha Rao on education and higher education, Reorientation of higher education, regulatory mechanism, open and distance learning and higher education in Telangana.
Registrar Prof Byru Venkatramreddy appealed the faculty members to strive more to achieve A grade in the NAAC accreditation. Prof T Srinviasa Rao, conference coordinator, and Dr N Sadanandam. Dean Faculties Prof T Srinivas, Prof K.David, Principals Prof Banna Ailaiah, Prof B Suresh Lal, Prof B Varalaxmi, Dr K Ailaiah, Former Professors Gopi Krishna, N Ramanath Kishan and others were present on the occasion.
