Active cases now account for 0.99 per cent of the total infections in India.New Delhi: India’s Covid chart showed improvement today, with the country recording 27,409 cases, a drop of 19.6 per cent from yesterday. About 347 deaths were recorded during the period, according to the Health Ministry.After a month-long surge in Covid cases, led by the new variant Omicron, new infections have been steadily declining in most Indian states.The country active caseload currently stands at 4,23,127. Active cases now account for 0.99 per cent of the total infections in India.India’s daily positivity rate has dropped from 3.19 per cent to 2.23 per cent. The weekly positivity rate stands at 3.63%.
