42 members of BJP headquarters in New Delhi test positive for COVID-19

New Delhi: 42 members of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) headquarters have tested positive for COVID-19. The members of BJP HQ in New Delhi who have tested positive for COVID-19 include security officials and party staff members. the development comes at a time when senior BJP leaders, including Home Minister Amit Shah, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and others have been holding marathon meetings at the BJP HQ in light of the Assembly elections in UP and other states.

On Monday, a mass COVID-19 test drive was conducted at the BJP HQ, after which it has come to light that 42 staffers are COVID-19 positive. Times Now has learnt that contact tracing has been initiated and people who may have come in contact with the staffers are being tracked. 

Senior BJP leaders including Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, BJP chief JP Nadda and others have already tested positive for COVID-19 and have been under home quarantine.
