Ashok Gehlot hits out at Kapil Sibal for criticising GandhisJaipur: Rajasthan Chief Minister and Congress leader Ashok Gehlot on Tuesday slammed his party colleague Kapil Sibal on Tuesday for demanding that the ‘Gandhis should step aside from the leadership role and give a chance to someone else to lead the grand old party. Criticising Sibal, Gehlot said that the Supreme Court lawyer isn’t a person from Congress culture.Lambasting his party colleague, the Rajasthan chief minister, who is considered to be close to the Gandhi family, said that “Sibal is a renowned advocate who entered Congress…Sonia ji and Rahul ji have him a lot of chances. Manickam Tagore, Congress’ Lok Sabha whip accused the senior advocate of speaking the language of the BJP and the RSS. “Why RSS and BJP wants Nehru-Gandhi’s out of the leadership? Because without Gandhi’s leadership Congress will be become Janata party. It’s easy to kill Congress then it’s easy to destroy the idea of India (sic),” Tagore said on Twitter.Congress national spokesperson Pawan Khera slammed Sibal, saying that he should contest elections for the post of Congress president instead of criticising the party leadership.”Dr Harshvardhan did not ask you to step aside from Chandni Chowk.
