BJP projected to return to power with absolute majority, SP may get 105 seats

Photo : PTINew Delhi: Today’s Chanakya has projected that the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to return to power in Uttar Pradesh with a thumping majority, while the main contender Samajwadi Party (SP) to get a little over 100 seats in the recently concluded assembly elections.The elections to 403 Assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh were held in seven phases and the counting of votes will take place on March 10.As per the projections by Today’s Chanakya, the ruling BJP will get 294 seats, while the SP will have to settle with 105 seats. Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) is likely to get two seats and Congress and others are expected to win just one seat each.The BJP is projected to have a vote share of 43 per cent, followed by Akhilesh Yadav-led SP with 35 per cent. The BSP’s vote share is likely to be around 13 per cent, Congress’s 4 per cent and 5 per cent voters to go with others, according to the Today’s Chanakya exit poll.Today’s Chanakya projections for UP Elections 2022:Seat Projection
