Ranchi: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav will on Tuesday before a Special CBI court in a fodder scam case related to the illegal withdrawal of Rs 139.35 crore from Doranda Treasury. The court is expected to deliver its judgement in the fodder scam case against Lalu and others. So far, the former Bihar chief minister has been sentenced to 14 years in jail in four other fodder scam cases.

The RJD chief reached Ranchi on February 13 and will appear before the court today. The court had ordered all the accused persons to appear physically before the court of Special CBI Judge SK Shashi on the day of final judgment.

Besides the RJD supremo, former MP Jagdish Sharma, the then Public Accounts Committee (PAC) chairman Dhruv Bhagat, Animal Husbandry Secretary Beck Julius and Animal Husbandry Assistant Director Dr K M Prasad are the main accused in Rs 139.35 crore from Doranda Treasury.

Earlier, Lalu Yadav secured bail in the four cases related to Dumka, Deoghar and Chaibasa treasuries.

Earlier, the former Bihar chief minister was sent to five years imprisonment in 2013 in a case relating to the fraudulent withdrawal of Rs 33.61 crore from the Chaibasa treasury.

The RJD chief faces fodder scam cases for illegal withdrawal of Rs 3.97 crore from the Dumka Treasury, Rs 36 crore from the Chaibasa Treasury and Rs 184 crore from the Doranda treasury.
