Foundation stone laid for organic products outlet in Mancherial

Mancherial: Collector Bharati Hollikeri suggested farmers provide healthy farm products to the public by following natural and organic ways of farming. She along with MLA N Diwakar Rao laid the foundation stone to an organic products outlet here on Sunday.
Bharati said that farmers were increasingly using inorganic fertilizers and pesticides while growing crops and as a result, farm produce was hazardous. She advised the farmers to go for organic farming and to ensure healthy food, besides registering higher yields. She stated that the government was promoting organic farming like never before.

Diwakar Rao said that the store was being created on the premises of the office of Mancherial mandal Tahsildar for the convenience of the public. He advised to grow paddy, lentils and fruit crops by using organic fertilizers and pesticides and help consumers to stay healthy. He added that farmers should dive into alternative crops and to make agriculture profitable.
Municipal chairperson P Rajaiah, District Forest Officer Shivani Dogra, Assistant Commissioner of Police Rashmi Sadhana Perumal, Additional Collector D Madhusudan Naik, Tahsildar P Rajeshwar and many others were present.
