Srinagar: At least one terrorist was eliminated after an encounter broke out between terrorists and security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Shopian district on Saturday morning.
According to police, security forces launched a cordon and search operation after receiving inputs about the presence of terrorists at Chermarg in the Zainapora area of Shopian.
After conducting searches in the area, forces confronted the hiding terrorists and an encounter ensued. The exchange of firing is going on and further details are awaited.
