Photo : Times Now DigitalPatna: The Janata Dal (United) took strong exception to BJP MLA Hari Bhushan Thakur’s statement that the Centre should withdraw voting rights from the people of the Muslim community and make them second class citizens. The JD(U), which is running an alliance government in Bihar with the saffron party, asked the party to reign in its leaders making provocative statements.It is being learnt that JD(U) national president Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh spoke to Kishore Prasad, Deputy Chief Minister and leader of BJP in the Bihar Assembly, to check his party legislators.In a phone call to Prasad, Ranjan Singh reportedly held discussions with his alliance partner on the statement given by BJP MLA of Bipsi constituency of Madhubani district.A close aide of JD(U) national president reportedly said that if BJP leaders continue to give such statements, the alliance may not long last.
