Nidhish, Kartavya bag top honours at Brilliant Trophy chess tournament

Hyderabad: Nidhish Shyamal of Tiny Tots Primary school, Guntur clinched gold with 11.5 points out of 12 rounds in the junior’s category while Kartavya Anadkat bagged top honours by scoring 10 points out of 12 rounds in open category at the 190th Brilliant Trophy chess tournament on Monday.
Meanwhile, Gowtham Rammoorthy and Darsith Manoj Nair settled for second and third places respectively with 10.5 points each out of 12 rounds in the junior’s category. Arvind Iyer and Anuj Bansal with 9.5 points each out of 12 rounds claimed second and third places respectively in the open category.
