]]>Hyderabad: Padma Shri Award recipient Dr. Padmaja Reddy joined the Green India Challenge initiated by Rajya Sabha MP Joginapally Santosh Kumar and planted saplings at her residence in Begumpet here on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Padmaja recalled the saying that planting trees tantamounts to a divine event. “Everyone should plant as many saplings as possible. It would be better if the government brought in a rule that everyone should plant trees at their home before constructing a house,” she opined.
She nominated her friends Pratibha, Vanaja and Umarani for the challenge.
