People in UP feel it is their ‘own’ govt, not of some particular community, says Piyush Goyal

Union Minister Piyush GoyalNew Delhi: Union Minister Piyush Goyal on Sunday credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi with the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) resounding victories in the recently-concluded Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Goa and Manipur.When asked about the saffron party’s performance in Punjab, he refused to call it a failure and asserted that the BJP has increased its influence in the state significantly.In an exclusive conversation with Times Now’s Group Editor Navika Kumar, Piyush Goyal said BJP has increased its standing in Punjab and in the coming days, it will further expand its base in the state.He dismissed Arvind Kejriwal’s projection as a national leader in the wake of the Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) overwhelming victory in Punjab.

He wants the central and state govt should work together for the development of India’s future.”Talking about Yogi Adityanath’s second victory in the trot in Uttar Pradesh, he said that people of the state have rejected the M-Y (Muslim – Yadav) strategy of the Samajwadi Party and voted for the BJP overwhelmingly.”People in UP now feel that it is their own government and not the govt of a particular community,” added Piyush Goyal.The Union Minister also discussed the current condition and future of Congress, which lost all the elections it contested recently.”The condition of Congress is unfortunate.
