Punjab AAP MLAs raid govt offices and civil hospitals in Moga, say ‘corrupt officials will be their first target’

Bhagwant Mann | Credit: ANINew Delhi: Days after storming to power in Punjab, four Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLAs of Moga district conducted raids on various government offices, including the civil hospital, to inspect the quality of service. MLAs Manjit Singh Bilaspur (Nihal Singh Wala), Davinderjit Singh Dhos (Dharamkot), Amritpal Singh Sukhanand (Baghapurana), and Dr Amandeep Kaur Arora also met deputy commissioner Harish Nair and senior superintendent of police (SSP) Charanjit Singh Sohal. While conducting checks at the civil hospital they found it lacked basic facilities but said they will not interfere in the affairs of the administration. After staking claim to form the government, Bhagwant Mann promised AAP would provide a good Cabinet and make historic decisions. Meanwhile, Mann is set to take oath on March 16 and has also urged the men to wear yellow turbans and women yellow shawl on that day.‘We together have to fulfil the dreams of Bhagat Singh’ The ceremony is set to take place at Khatkar Kalan, the ancestral village of freedom fighter Bhagat Singh, in the Nawanshahr district. Mann (48) also urged the people to build a Punjab that Bhagat Singh had dreamt of. “Not only me, but 3 crore people of Punjab will also take oath along with me. We together have to fulfil the dreams of Bhagat Singh and we will put his thinking into effect on March 16,” he said in a video uploaded on his Twitter handle.
