Ludhiana Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on February 6 said Charanjit Singh Channi is the Chief Minister candidate for the upcoming Assembly elections in Punjab.”People of Punjab said that they want a Chief Minister from poor family, the one who understands the pain of poor. It was a difficult decision [to choose] the Chief Ministerial candidate. The Congress CM candidate will be Charanjit Singh Channi,” said Mr. Gandhi. He was addressing virtual rally in Punjab’s Ludhiana in the run up to the Assembly polls.
