Punjab will get honest CM after years, says Kejriwal at roadshow ahead of Bhagwant Mann’s swearing-in ceremony

Amritsar: Days after the Aam Aadmi Party’s massive election victory in Punjab, national convenor Arvind Kejriwal and state Chief Minister-designate Bhagwant Mann held a roadshow today to thank the people of the state. Addressing the massive gathering of AAP workers and supporters, the AAP chief said that Punjab had gotten a ‘honest CM’ for the first time.”Now all the money will be spent on Punjab and its people. We will fulfill all the guarantees and make a ‘Rangla’ and happy Punjab….He (Mann) is fiercely honest. An honest government will be formed…Tussi kamaal kar dita…. I love you Punjab,” he said during an address in Amritsar. The party had recorded a landslide win earlier this week, securing an absolute majority and 92 out of 117 seats. Mann will be sworn-in as Punjab chief minister on March 16 at Khatkar Kalan, the ancestral village of legendary freedom fighter Bhagat Singh, in Nawanshahr district. Ahead of his official ceremony, the CM-designate has wrought some administrative changes. “We’ve decreased security of 122 people and due to that 403 police personnel and 27 police vehicles have returned to the police stations. No government office will have CM’s photos but will have pictures of Shaheed Bhagat Singh and Babasaheb Ambedkar,” Mann said today. Not only Mann, the Delhi Chief Minister added, but every single person in the state will be the chief minister. Assuring that his party would honour all poll promises, Kejriwal said that any AAP leader or MLA found to be indulging in wrongdoing would be put behind bars. The Delhi chief minister also said every single penny from the government’s coffers will be spent on the people of the state.Related NewsPunjab CM-designate Bhagwant Mann, Arvind Kejriwal visit Golden Temple, to hold roadshow in Amritsar
