Karimnagar: A sanitation worker of Municipal Corporation of Karimnagar (MCK), Samudrala Laxmi (40) died in a road accident at Khaman chowk here on Friday morning.
The incident occurred when an unknown lorry hit the victim while she was sweeping the road near Kaman at around 6 am. The body of the lady was damaged beyond recognition as the lorry was run over by her.
A resident of Aravindnagar of Kharkanagadda, Laxmi was working as an outsourced labourer in MCK. She met with an accident while attending work early in the morning.

The Mayor promised to provide Rs 1 lakh compensation to kin of the family members besides a job to one of the family members. Rs 10,000 was handed over the family towards funeral expenditure.
Sunil Rao assured to take steps to provide insurance cover to all corporation workers. Police began investigation by registering the case.
