BJP leader Kirit Somaiya (Twitter: @KiritSomaiya)Mumbai: Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut on Wednesday launched a blistering attack on BJP leader Kirit Somaiya and his son Neil, saying if teh father-duo has not committed any crime, why are they moving court for anticipatory bail. He warned that the Maharashtra government is capable of sending people to jail who misuse central probe agencies.“If no crime committed, why is the father-son duo (Kirit Somaiya-Neil)* moving court for anticipatory bail? Mark my words this father-son & some more people who misuse Central agencies will be going to jail. Maharashtra govt capable of doing so,” Raut said.The Shiv Sena leader has repeatedly accused BJP of misusing central agencies to topple the Maharashtra government by targeting the ruling Maha Vikas Aghadi leaders. Earlier this month, Raut had alleged that Neil Somaiya, had links with Rakesh Wadhwan, an accused in the PMC bank fraud. The Sena leader had also hit out at the Opposition BJP, saying that “three-and-a-half” leaders of the saffron unit will go to jail and former Maharashtra home minister Anil Deshmukh will walk out of the jail.Notably, BJP leader Kirit Somaiya had filed a police complaint alleging ‘scam’ in COVID centre contract.
