Six get life term for murdering two persons in Mancherial

Adilabad: Six persons were convicted in a double murder case reported in Bellapally down seven years ago and sentenced them to undergo life sentences by a local court here on Thursday. Adilabad district and sessions judge G Maitreyi awarded the life term to Shivaratri Prasad, Shivaratri Narayana, Kasturi Ravinder, Kalluri Sudhakar, Shivaratri Krishna and Shivaratri Shankar after finding them guilty in the murder of Sirikonda Sambaiah and Rasa Ganapathi on the outskirts of Bellampalli on August 2, 2015. The court examined pieces of evidence and cross questioned 41 witnesses before giving the judgment.
Prasad, Narayana, Ravinder, Sudhakar, Krishna and Shankar were booked for allegedly murdering Sambaiah and Ganapathi and assaulting Sirikonda Rakesh and Satyanarayana to occupy Sambaiah’s stone crushing quarry. They brutally eliminated the two by stabbing them with sharp objects. The then Inspector Sadaiah took up investigations and filed a charge-sheet before the court.

Ramagundam Commissioner of Police S Chandrasekhar Reddy commended Bellampalli ACP A Mahesh and Mandamarri Inspector P Pramod Rao for monitoring the process of investigations and additional public prosecutors Kiran Kumar Reddy, Musku Ramana Reddy, Mekala Madhukar and court matters in-charges Syed Tajuddin, Md Zaheeruddin, G Raghavendra Rao for conviction in the case.
