Top Maoist Madvi Hidma, believed to be the masterminded of attack in which 22 CRPF jawans were killed, surrenders

Hyderabad: A top Maoist leader on Wednesday surrendered before the Mulugu Police in Telangana. Madvi Hidma, just 24 years of age, is believed to be the mastermind of the attack on Central Reserve Police Force jawans in which 22 personnel were martyred. 

The Mulugu Police said Hidma, member of the outlawed Communist Party of India (Maoist), surrendered before the Mulugu Police and members of CRPF’s 151 battalion. 

Hidma, a native of Chhattisgarh, had joined the Maoists when he was just 16 years old. 

He is believed to be the mastermind of several attacks on security forces. It is believed that some 50 to 70 CRPF jawans and police personnel were killed in attacks that were masterminded by Hidma.
