Two youngsters arrested for businessman’s murder in Adilabad

Adilabad: Two youngsters were arrested for their alleged involvement in a recent murder of a man in Jainath mandal, on Saturday.
Superintendent of Police D Uday Kumar Reddy said that the accused persons were Shaik Aslam and Etukoka Vijay, residents of Bangariguda in Adilabad town. They were apprehended when they were travelling by a motorbike, following a tip off. The victim was Induru Gajanand, a native of Puthlibowli in the district centre. He was found murdered on the outskirts of Tharanam village in Jainath mandal on January 1.
On being interrogated, Aslam and Vijay confessed to committing the offence to steal his two-wheeler of Gajanand. They disclosed that they murdered Gajanand by slitting his throat and dumped the body at a spot on Bhoraj-Chandrapur road. They revealed that they came into contact with him when he was trying to mortgage his motorbike in Adilabad.

The teams led by Adilabad DSP Venkateshwar Rad, and comprising of inspectors Konka Mallesh and E Chandramouli, began a probe into the incident. They cracked the murder by arresting the two with the help of CCTV footage and other crime detection technology.
