New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted the achievements of the Yogi Adityanath-led BJP government in Uttar Pradesh and urged voters of Meerut, Ghaziabad, Aligarh, Hapur and Noida to vote for development.

These polls are to maintain security, honour and prosperity, the PM said adding that these polls are to keep history-sheeters out and to make new history.

In a scathing attack on the Samajwadi Party, he called it “parivarvaadi” and reminded people of “surakhsha, samman and samriddhi” said that this election is for the stability of peace in UP.

‘People won’t allow rioters and mafia to take control of UP’

I am delighted that people of UP have made up their minds that they won’t allow rioters and mafia to take control of UP from behind the curtains, he said.

Lauding the Yogi government for strengthening the law and order in the state, the PM said that no one could have imagined that criminals would ever come under control but the UP CM established the rule of law in UP.

In the 21st century, UP needs a government that continuously works at double speed and only a double-engine government can do this, PM Modi said.

On COVID-19, he said that the entire world is facing a pandemic today and humankind had never seen such a crisis on a global level in 100 years.

‘BJP government does what it says’

Even during this crisis, we have seen the double benefits of this double-engine, he added.

Addressing the ‘Jan Chaupal’ in western UP via video conferencing, the PM also recounted his experience while travelling to Meerut earlier this year.

“At the beginning of this year, my first visit was to Meerut. On that day, the weather was bad and I had to reach there via road. But due to Delhi-Meerut Expressway, I reached there in less than an hour,” he said.

People provided me with the fortune to lay the foundation stone of this expressway, the PM said adding that this is evidence of the fact that the BJP government does what it says.

‘Vote in large numbers for BJP’

He further expressed happiness over the fact that the people of UP have made up their mind that they will not allow rioters and mafia to grab the power of the state by staying behind the scenes.

Attacking the opposition for spreading the rumour that MSP will end, the PM said that the double engine government in UP has increased procurement at MSP.

This year also the farmers of the country including UP are going to get lakhs of crores of rupees as MSP, he added.

Concluding his address, the PM slammed the SP for giving tickets to rioters and criminals and urged people to vote in large numbers to send a message to the party that such elements have no place in Indian politics.
