M Narendra Modi addresses rally in Uttarakhand’s Srinagar.  
Dehradun: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday addressed a BJP’s rally for Uttarakhand election 2022 and invoked the legacy of late General Bipin Rawat while accusing Congress of trying to reap political benefits in the name of the former chief of defence staff. Addressing an election rally in Srinagar, PM Modi appealed to the electorate to give a befitting reply to the Opposition party.
While asking the people to vote for BJP in the upcoming Uttarakhand election, PM Modi said it was the same Congress that had questioned the surgical strikes and abused late Gen Rawat.
“The Congress party is using late CDS Gen Bipin Rawat’s name to gather votes. They did politics over his name after his appointment as the first CDS of the country. A leader of this party even called him ‘Sadak ka Gunda’,” the prime minister exhorted.
Remembering late CDS Rawat, PM Modi said stressed that the brave son of Pauri Garhwal showed the country that the people of Uttarakhand do not only have courage like mountains but also have high thinking like the Himalayas.
Further slamming the Congress, the BJP’s star campaigner in Uttarakhand election 2022 he can’t believe that the Opposition party was asking for votes by using the photos of Late Gen Rawat whom it had once abused.
Launching a vociferous attack in Congress, PM Modi said the party when it was in power both at the Centre and state, it and put double brakes on the development works in the state.
He also attacked Congress on the issue of the Char Dham project, saying the Opposition party didn;t cared for the project when it was in power and is raking it just because of the upcoming Uttarakhand election 2022.
For BJP, Char Dham and Devbhoomi are religious, development, cultural issues, the PM stressed.
