New Delhi: Uttarakhand BJP chief Madan Kaushik today said that Pushkar Singh Dhami will be the Chief Minister of the Himalayan state after the 2022 elections.
Kaushik gave this statement when Times Now Navbharat’s Ankit Tyagi asked him that the BJP changed three CMs in 5 years and if the saffron party wins the elections, will Dhami be the CM.
He also took a dig at the Congress saying the grand old party got destroyed in Uttarakhand because of its ego.
‘Party which is unable to decide its national president is talking about leadership’
“The party which is unable to decide its national president is talking about leadership today. They are unable to get out of the family,” said Kaushik.
The state BJP president also attacked Rahul Gandhi over his recent “Hindu vs Hindutva” analogy.
Reacting to this statement, Uttarakhand Congress president Ganesh Godiyal said that Hinduism is a lifestyle.
‘Govt jobs sold for Rs 15 lakhs in Uttarakhand’
Godiyal also accused the BJP of selling jobs for Rs 15 lakhs in Uttarakhand. Responding to this, Kaushik rejected the allegation saying the state government gave jobs to 7 lakh 32 thousand people in four years.
On the war of words between the BJP and the Congress over the cutout of General Bipin Rawat at Rahul Gandhi’s recent rally in Uttarakhand, Godiyal said that the grand old party respects the CDS and always had full faith in him.
Election for the 70-member Uttarakhand Assembly will be held in February- March next year along with Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Manipur and Goa. The BJP has set a target of winning over 60 seats in the next Assembly polls. In the last Assembly polls in 2017, the saffron party had won 57 seats.
